Terms of Service and Participation Agreement

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

By registering for and participating in an All-American Treasure Hunts LLC ("AATH") treasure hunt, you agree to the following Terms of Service and Participation Agreement.

1. Eligibility

Participation is open only to individuals who have completed the official registration process and paid the required entry fee.

Only registered participants are eligible to receive weekly clues and claim the prize.

2. Treasure Hunt Prize

Each treasure hunt offers one (1) prize only.

There will be only one winner for each treasure hunt.

3. Treasure and Prize Redemption

The item hidden within the designated hunt area is not cash. The hidden item contains a unique verification code.

To claim the prize, the registered participant who discovers the code must promptly email the code to All-American Treasure Hunts LLC using the official contact information provided for the hunt.

Once the code has been verified, All-American Treasure Hunts LLC will issue the advertised cash prize by check to the verified registered participant.

The verification code has no cash value by itself and serves solely as proof that the treasure has been located.

4. Registered Participants Only

Only individuals who have officially registered for the applicable treasure hunt before locating the treasure are eligible to claim the prize.

Any code submitted by a person who was not properly registered for that specific treasure hunt will be deemed invalid, and no prize will be awarded based upon that submission.

Registration may not be transferred after the treasure has been located.

5. Weekly Clues

Beginning on the announced date for each treasure hunt, registered participants will receive clue emails according to the published schedule.

Clues will continue to be distributed until the treasure has been successfully claimed or until the hunt is otherwise concluded by All-American Treasure Hunts LLC.

Participants are responsible for providing a valid email address and ensuring that emails from All-American Treasure Hunts LLC are not blocked or filtered.

6. Assumption of Risk

Treasure hunting is an outdoor recreational activity that involves inherent risks.

By participating, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to:

  • Hiking on uneven terrain
  • Slips, trips, and falls
  • Rocks, roots, mud, water, and natural obstacles
  • Wildlife, insects, plants, and environmental hazards
  • Weather conditions
  • Physical exertion
  • Travel to and from the hunt area
  • Any other risks associated with outdoor recreation

You acknowledge that participation is entirely voluntary and that you are solely responsible for determining whether you are physically capable of participating safely.

7. Release of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AGREE THAT YOUR PARTICIPATION IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

BY PARTICIPATING, YOU RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD HARMLESS ALL-AMERICAN TREASURE HUNTS LLC, ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, SUCCESSORS, AND AFFILIATES FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, DAMAGES, LOSSES, COSTS, EXPENSES, OR CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE TREASURE HUNT, INCLUDING CLAIMS FOR PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, ECONOMIC LOSS, OR WRONGFUL DEATH, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT SUCH LIABILITY CANNOT BE WAIVED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

YOU ACCEPT FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, YOUR OWN ACTIONS, AND YOUR OWN DECISIONS WHILE PARTICIPATING.

8. Rules of Conduct

Participants must:

  • Obey all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Respect public and private property.
  • Never trespass.
  • Never damage vegetation, wildlife, or natural resources.
  • Follow all posted signs and regulations.
  • Respect other participants and members of the public.

Failure to comply may result in immediate disqualification.

9. Cancellation and Refunds

All-American Treasure Hunts LLC reserves the right to cancel, postpone, modify, or reschedule any treasure hunt for any reason, including but not limited to insufficient registrations, safety concerns, severe weather, governmental restrictions, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

If a treasure hunt is canceled before it begins, participants will receive a full refund of their registration fee.

Refunds under this section are the participant's sole remedy, and All-American Treasure Hunts LLC shall have no further liability arising from such cancellation.

10. Disqualification

All-American Treasure Hunts LLC reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:

  • Violates these Terms of Service;
  • Attempts to cheat or interfere with the hunt;
  • Engages in unsafe or unlawful conduct;
  • Provides false registration information; or
  • Attempts to claim a prize without valid registration.

11. Final Decisions

All decisions made by All-American Treasure Hunts LLC regarding eligibility, interpretation of clues, verification of the winning code, prize eligibility, and enforcement of these Terms are final.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

13. Acceptance

By completing registration and participating in an All-American Treasure Hunts LLC treasure hunt, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service and Participation Agreement.
